SUMMER OUTREACH PROJECT: During summer months, the children who attend the Boys and Girls Club of Jessieville are provided with snacks. Club coordinators have expressed how much they would appreciate the donation of snacks to meet that need. For the month of July, Holy Trinity’s Outreach Committee is collecting snacks and will deliver them to the club every week. If you’d like to help us provide nourishment to children in our community, please bring snacks to the church and leave them in Sifford Hall on the table across from the kitchen. A list of preferred snacks is posted on the bulletin board outside the kitchen door. Let’s have fun with this summer project and make a simple difference in children’s lives. If there are any questions, please contact Reg Read or Gerry Brown.

Pop Tabs for St. Jude's Ronald McDonald House

POP TABS continue to be collected for donation in Jackie Butler’s name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Ronald McDonald House in Memphis, TN.  Drop off pop tabs at the church or at the home of Jo Ann Thompson, on the east end of the Village (14 Adoracion Point). If you know of others who might want to donate pop tabs, please let them know. Contact the church office with any questions.

Last Easter we dropped off 43,484 pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House on the campus of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in downtown Memphis. The Ronald McDonald House provides free, secure housing for patients’ families right across the street from the hospital. Please keep collecting the tabs, bagging them, and putting them on the kitchen counter by the telephone.

United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Church
UTO-box.webp

The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings and make an offering for each blessing using a UTO Blue Box. UTO is entrusted to receive the offerings, and to distribute the 100% of what is collected to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.

UTO WEEKEND: Holy Trinity declares a weekend annually as UTO weekend.  The ECW  gathers the money that parishioners have been collecting in their “Blue Boxes” over the past year. The habit of giving daily thanks to God for your blessings will be used to support the missions and ministries of the Episcopal Church. In addition to the “Blue Boxes,” ECW also accepts any and all donations. Envelopes are provided in the bulletins that weekend for this special offering.
