Drive-Thru Holy Communion

A Message From Fr. Neil - Nov 20, 2020
As we come to the end of November and look toward December, the COVID infection rates are at the highest levels we have yet seen in Arkansas. Whether here in the Village, or in neighboring Hot Springs and Benton, the numbers exceed anything we experienced earlier in the year.
At our recent vestry meeting we decided it is time to adapt by pulling back on in-person events at Holy Trinity. As of Monday, November 23, all such gatherings will be canceled, including the Wednesday Morning Prayer group, Wednesday 9:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Noon Bible Study, Daughters of the King, and the Community of Hope. Any of the groups interested in using Zoom are welcomed and encouraged to do so.
We will continue to celebrate the Holy Eucharist online on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. followed by a drive-thru Communion from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
Please be sure to stay in touch with one another. Pick up the phone. Call a friend or someone in your Care Group. If a special need arises, please do not hesitate to contact the church office (#922-0299).
While we need to adapt to meet this challenge, let us not forget that we are God’s beloved. We will make our way through the days ahead keeping our mission to love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves before us in both prayer and action.
Fr. Neil +

ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN 2021
“GIVING IN GRATITUDE WITH HOPE”
The annual stewardship campaign for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is underway. Beginning Sunday, October 25, 2020, and for the next four Sundays, several fellow parishioners will speak to us about why they pledge financially to support Holy Trinity. Fr. Neil Kaminski will conclude the series on Sunday, November 22nd, with the in-gathering, offering, and blessing of pledges. Each service will be live-streamed at 10:30 a.m.
Pledge cards for 2021 have been mailed to you, along with a Time and Talent Commitment form. Please prayerfully consider your pledge for the coming year and the many opportunities for participation in parish ministries and outreach. Return your card and form to the church by mail or in person as soon as you are able. Please contact Susan Read, Stewardship Liaison, with any questions or concerns.
Be sure to tune in to the live-streamed services online, not only to hear our dynamic speakers, but to share in the worship and fellowship of Holy Trinity as we stay connected during this unique time of pandemic distancing. Please know, also, that you are valued and prayed for as one of Christ’s fold, and we are so grateful for your presence among us.

Information on Drive-thru Communion:
Fr. Neil will celebrate the Holy Eucharist in a live-stream service at 10:30 Sunday morning and will bless additional elements for distribution to parishioners.
Following the service, from 12:00 noon - 1:00pm, parishioners may drive to Holy Trinity to receive Communion in their cars.
Simply drive up to the covered walkway and remain in your vehicle. Fr. Neil or Deacon Brenda will administer Communion. Together, you will say the “Prayer of Humble Access,” receive Communion, and then join together in the post communion prayer. Once done, you will be able to drive away and the next car will be served.
