HEALING SERVICES

The Wednesday morning Eucharist includes a healing service with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. We believe that healing can be a spiritual process, that God’s Spirit is abundantly active in our lives and

offers healing of the spirit to all who ask. The anointing and laying on of hands by a supportive prayer partner may be part of this. The healing may or may not take the shape of physical healing, but the real gift is to the spirit of the one seeking God’s love.  In addition, on the 2nd weekend of each month and at each service, a pastoral caregiver from Community of Hope, will lay on hands and pray for those who wish to receive.  This takes place during communion.

MEMORIAL FUND COMMITTEE

The Memorial Fund Committee monitors the effectiveness of the memorial process, oversees memorial contributions made to the church, maintains a list of items that are suitable for purchasing with memorial contributions, and encourages memorial publicity. Sharon Swintz is the coordinator of the program.

Advent Evensong Service:  Next Sunday, December 9th, at 5:00pm, you are invited to a very special service entitled Advent Evensong.  An Evensong service is simply an Evening Prayer liturgy with music.  Evensong offers the opportunity to gather and spend time in prayer while listening and participating in music that is especially selected to bring us into deeper understanding of the mysteries of our faith.
