Holy Trinity Episcopal Church

A God-centered, active, fun-loving congregation

Sunday March 29th

10:30 Morning Prayer Service

A Message From Fr. Neil

Adjusting to Covid-19 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church

Perhaps the biggest impact I have felt from Covid-19 is how profoundly connected we are to one another. And that impact is felt primarily in the absence of things we are used to sharing – like shaking hands or exchanging a hug during the Peace, not being able to receive the Holy Eucharist, or the laying on of

hands and healing prayers on the second Sunday of the month, or gathering at the coffee hour after the 10:30 a.m. service, and not being able to go to Good Samaritan to celebrate the Holy Eucharist on the second Wednesday of the month.

And yet, despite the restrictions we are living with at present, we find ourselves adapting. Routines and calendars change, but we do not quit. We move forward even if it means having to rethink how we move forward.

The video will be available to play at 10:30 AM Sunday, March 29th. To start the video click on the play arrow. To expand to full screen click on the double arrows in the right lower corner.  Adjust volume as needed. Choose the button below to see the bulletin and follow the service.

All Church Activies Cancelled through March 31st

Since regular worship services are cancelled due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, a Morning Prayer Service will be recorded for streaming on Facebook and this website at 10:30 next Sunday and any future Sundays if necessary. To keep everyone informed, announcements will be sent regularly be email and posted on Facebook and this website.

Just so you know, Holy Trinity is not closed for business. Office Manager Diane Olson has the church office open daily. Together with Music Director Ellen Nagode we are engaged in planning our worship services. I am also available by calling the church office or my cell phone.

Moving through these days is going to test our creativity. While we look forward to the time we will once again gather socially, break bread and share in the Holy Eucharist, I ask that we keep in touch. Check up on one another. Call a friend to see how they are doing. If you come up with a suggestion, give us a call.

Fortunately, we are blessed with a fine network for pastoral care. The Care Groups and Care Group leaders are a vital part of keeping up with needs that arise among members within a group. And members of the Community of Hope will continue to make phone calls to check up on the wellbeing of parishioners with particular health needs.

Sunday worship will consist of Morning Prayer which is video recorded by David Perry and played online Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on the church’s Facebook page and with a link on our parish website. Each week the service bulletin will be attached to the Weekly Announcements that Diane sends out by email so you can participate at home.

The Altar and Flower Guilds are actively engaged in keeping the altar sanctuary prepared and sanitized for Lent and the coming of Holy Week and Easter. I am grateful for all that they do as we look ahead to these holiest of days.

Of course, Outreach remains a priority for us. Denny and Nancy Holst are preparing to put together the Easter Food Baskets and have them delivered, and the Daughters of the King will add a special Easter gift for each child in the family receiving a food basket. Once again, we need to think creatively as we minister to those in need.

Please see the Weekly Announcements for information on how to give toward your pledge or to make a donation. Your financial support is deeply appreciated and keeps our mission on track. As we move forward, we will keep you all in our prayers daily and keep you informed.

      God’s peace,
