September 25th Message From Fr. Neil
This has been an exciting week with so many things going on. First, the rain has given way to some beautiful fall weather. And tonight – Friday night – we have Care Groups 5 and 8 meeting. Saturday, we will celebrate Carol and Don Walczyk’s 50th wedding anniversary on Holy Trinity’s Facebook page at 2:00 p.m. I hope you will tune in and celebrate! Then, on Saturday evening, Care Group 9 will meet.
Our live streaming is a work in progress, but I am very happy with the talents and efforts of the brave souls who are taking it on. They are doing great work.
Other projects underway include:
1. Finding a new Chairperson for the ushers. They are critical to reopening for in-person worship,
2. The Safety Awareness Team will be preparing the church for in-person worship in the coming week, and
3. In the coming weeks we will begin celebrating the Holy Eucharist at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. live-streamed service, followed by a “drive-through” distribution of the Eucharist at Holy Trinity. Details will be announced soon. We have established guidelines and ordered communion resources. A date to commence with this change will be announced when the supplies are received. Please note that this is an interim approach until we gather in person again. At that time, the “drive-through” Eucharist will be discontinued.
Finally, let me say on behalf of myself and the entire vestry how thankful we are for your ongoing faithfulness in your pledge support. God’s peace be with you, and may you enjoy the fall weather.
